New Functionality - Adjust GDS Rates "on-the-fly"
We are pleased to announce the release of new functionality that enables hotels to adjust rates in the GDS on-the-fly for display on the Internet in BOOKDirect. For example, BOOKDirect can be set so that the standard RACK rate in the GDS would be increased or decreased by a set dollar amount or percentage. The rate is also automatically renamed to whatever the hotel wishes to call it.
The new rate is highlighted in red and the booking is sent directly to the hotel bypassing the GDS and therefore carries no additional distribution costs for the hotel. Truly allowing the hotel to "pass on the savings".

This new functionality allows hotels to offer discounted rates but do not want to go to the effort of loading them or managing availability.
The system also works whereby an existing rate can be Increased, and renamed on the fly. This allows hotels to personalize rates for any individual customer or market opportunity.
